Welcome to Inspiring Minds

Hey there. I'm Dawon Bahtuoh. If you've landed here, you're probably someone who cares deeply about education, family, and community just like I do. Whether you followed my school board run or stumbled on this by accident—either way, I’m glad you’re here.

This space? It’s not about politics. It’s about people. It’s about faith, family, and figuring out how to raise strong kids and build strong communities. I created Inspiring Minds to spark conversation, share truth, and highlight stories that matter—especially the ones you won’t hear in the headlines.

A Bit About Me.

I'm a husband, a dad, a man of faith, and a fierce believer in what kids can become when they’re surrounded by the right support. Grew up in Rhode Island, raised in a split home, and now I’m raising a family of my own right here in the Midwest. Maple Grove is home. And even though I didn’t win a seat on the school board, I’m not going anywhere.

Why This Blog Exists

This blog is where real talk meets real solutions. It's where we break down what's happening in our schools, ask the questions other people avoid, and get honest about the challenges facing families today. Expect some bold takes, some faith-based truths, and a whole lot of heart.

Here’s What You’ll Find Here:

  • Education & Equity: What works, what doesn’t, and how we fix it.

  • Faith & Family: Raising kids, staying grounded, and walking the walk.

  • From the Boardroom to the Classroom: How HR, policy, and leadership impact your child’s future.

  • Community Voices: Local folks doing good work and the stories that need telling.

"You don’t need a degree in politics or education to make a difference. You just need the truth, a little courage, and a heart that won’t quit. Let’s build something real."
