I’m Not Mad. I’m Just Building.

There’s a certain look people give when they think you’re angry but really, you’re just focused. I’ve felt that look. Sometimes it shows up when you say “no” to things that used to get a “yes.” Sometimes it comes when you speak clearly, unapologetically, about your values. And sometimes it comes when you stop explaining yourself altogether.
Let me be clear: I’m not mad. I’m just building.
I’m building something that doesn’t depend on likes or validation. I’m building with a blueprint most people can’t see. I’m building because there’s too much at stake not to. I
come from complexity. My father was born in Liberia. My mother was born in Virginia. I’ve lived in both Black spaces and majority-white ones. Christian spaces. Corporate spaces. Church basements. Strategy meetings. Staff calls and soul circles. So when I talk about building, I’m not just talking about a brand. I’m talking about belonging. Legacy. Systems. Identity. God. All of it. I’ve learned that people will try to reduce you to a single lane, especially if they don’t understand you. But I wasn’t made for a lane. I was made for Kingdom. So no, I’m not trying to be political. I’m not trying to be performative. And I’m definitely not trying to be palatable. What I am trying to be is faithful.
Faithful to what God showed me. Faithful to what my father couldn’t finish. Faithful to what my children will inherit. If you follow me, you’re going to get a mix of things:
Leadership strategy that’s bigger than business.
Conversations about race, reform, and responsibility, without the fluff.
Content rooted in conviction, not trends.
And a reminder that Kingdom isn’t just a vibe, it’s a vision.
So again: I’m not mad. I’m just building.
If you’re building too, let’s keep going.
